What’s going on? Why are you changing the name?
Udi and his family sold Udi's Gluten Free and Granola in 2012, and part of that sale included the Udi's name. So the family is asking for help to re-name the businesses they still own11 restaurants, their catering company and their artisan bakery.
Cool. I think it should be named ______, how do I enter?
Enter here or at Udi's Facebok page between now and January 31st to make your suggestion. You could win a $1,000 party for 20, a $300 gift card, or a $150 gift card.
What else is changing?
Nothing. We’re still the same people, same company, same values, same owners, same food.
Everything remains the same except the name.
You sold the gluten free brand… does that mean the restaurants aren’t gluten free friendly anymore?
Not at all! We will continue to offer the same gluten free options we do today.
So who owns this business now?
Still owned by Udi and his kids Etai and Robin. Do you want to contact them? They love hearing from customers. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and they will get back to you.
That's crazy. Why did they sell their name?
Udi's Gluten Free had gotten to be a huge national company. Too big. The family preferred to focus only on their Colorado businesses. And they were offered an amazing deal.
How old is Udi's?
Well, the company Udi's is 20 years old this year. But Udi himself is 64.
